The Avengers: Age Of Ultron Delivers Concept Art Of Quicksilver And Scarlet Witch

One of the biggest (and hopefully best) films of next year year and half will beJoss Whedon’s all-encompassing sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and though the news and rumors are constantly battling each other for internet prevalence, production is only now getting underway and we can look forward to 13-and-a-half months of sneak peeks, set photos and eventually actual trailers. Marvel and Disney wisely took to primetime television to drop the world’s first look at the film through the hour-long back-patting session Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe airing on ABC. And what viewers got was mostly concept art and some behind-the-scenes footage of the Hulk tearing up South Africa, only without the Hulk involved. But still, that’s some great concept art! The final minute or so of the special, which of course came post-credits, featured a high-flying montage of stunts in each of Marvel’s films over the years, and this is where I thought they would sneak some actual action in there, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be. But do you know what is meant to be? The Hulk taking on Iron Man while he’s wearing the bloated Hulkbuster suit, which is going to be amazing. Though Marvel released a couple of examples of concept art on their website, that’s one that they forgot to include. Those jerks. During the South Africa clip there is a shot of the suit’s giant hand, so there’s at least some accountable proof of concept…art. We also got to see what we can expect as far as costumes go for new characters Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen. They’re not trying to break the bank on originality or flashy suits, but I’m sure things will look more complicated when it comes time to film them. You can see her design at the top of this page, while the first look at Quicksilver is below:
